Providing Better Care for Children
When children face medical crises, timely access to high-quality emergency care is critical.
The Kenneth and Anne Griffin Foundation contributed $16 million to establish a state-of-the-art emergency care center at the Anne and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago new facility in downtown Chicago. The gift, one of the largest contributions in the hospital’s history, will ensure world-class emergency care for thousands of children. “This gift will be instrumental in helping us create one of the most sophisticated, technologically advanced pediatric emergency care centers in the nation,” said Patrick M. Magoon, President and CEO of Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The hospital is recognized as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the U.S.
According to Kenneth Griffin, “We are incredibly proud to help make this state-of-the-art facility a reality for families in our community. We encourage others to support this important and highly effective institution.”
